Revese Osmosis FAQ

Below are frequently asked questions, you may find the answer for yourself.

Q: Are the products used or refurbished (re-manufactured) systems?
A: Our products are always brand new and never used.

Q: Can you customize the RO system if I need a different design?
A: Since we are not manufactory, we don't have the ability to customize your need, but if you just want to add/take off a filter or parts, we can easy to do it.

Q: Could the filters be refilled?
A: Yes, only DI filters (5th stage) could be refilled.

Q: What's the right input pressure I need for the system to work? Do I need the booster pump?
A: This system could start to generate pure water at 40 PSI, and the best is 65PSI.
If the pressure of the incoming tap water is too low (less than 40 PSI), you'll have to buy an extra booster pump to make it work.

Q: How do I know if my water source has enough water pressure to operate the RO system?
A: Install a Pressure Gauge or call your local water company to require information.

Q: Does the package include all the items necessary to hook up the system or will I need to purchase additional items to make it work? Is it easy to assemble? Do instructions come with it?
A: This is a complete system with all filters that had already been assembled and comes with clear instructions.

Q: Is your RO system approved by NSF?
A: Not every product is approved by NSF. A logo would be shown on all NSF items.

Q: Where can I buy replacement filters?
A: Buy filters either at our website or eBay store. They could also be found at most local water filter companies and local hardware store like Hone Depot, Lowe's

Q: What is the waste water ratio?
A: It depends on the RO membrane.
As our 100 GPD system, at 65 psi, 25C, create 4.2 gallons of pure water and 8.4 gallons of waste water within one hour.
As our 150GPD RO system, at 65 psi, 25C, create 6.25 gallons of pure water and 6.8 gallons of waste water within one hour.

Q: Do I need a tank?
A: The water tank is for your convenience only. The system will auto shut off if the tank is full. With a tank, you could get the pure water from the tank whenever you wish.

Q: When do I need to change the replacement filters?
A: Replace all filters (exclude RO membrane) per 12 months. Replace the RO membrane per 2 years.

Q: Do I need a Softener?
A: Our systems are designed for under 300-500 ppm household use. The extremely hard water may cause the membrane life shorter. It is better if you place a softener before the RO system is installed. Otherwise you will need to replace the membrane/filters very frequently.

Q: What is the operating temperature?
A: Maximum: 113F Minimum: 33F.

Q: How do I choose Feed Water Devices?
A: It depends on the diameter of your faucet. There are 3 different Feed Water Devices: Regular: 1 x 1/4" inch Needle Valve Option A: 1 x Chrome 1/2" Tee with 1/4" Ball Valve Option B: 2 x Chrome 15/16" Tee with 1/4" Ball Valve

Q: Can the permeate pump improve the water pressure?
A: If the pressure of the incoming tap water is too low (less than 40 PSI), you'll have to buy an extra booster pump to make it work. Permeate pump will help, but not too much.

Q: Does this RO system change PH?
A: Sorry, it could not change PH.

Q: What is the final TDS reading on this system?
A: Golden colored resin generates approximately 3-8 ppm, good for drinking water.

The dark-brown one could remove hard water minerals more efficiently, and we guarantee it by 0 ppm perfect for reef.
